My name is Brett Furlotte and I am currently enrolled in the anthropology graduate program at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I first developed an appreciation and interest for anthropology during my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. Since then I have participated in many anthropological and archaeological ventures which have allowed me to delineate my particular research interests. As such, my current research entails the use paleoethnobotany (the study of the interrelationships between plants and people in the past) analyses to better understand early hunter-gatherer communities in the New World.
